On June 16, 2024, Dr. Jian Sun, convener of the 10^th International Strawberry Symposium and director of the Strawberry Research Section of the Beijing Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences, gave lectures and conducted technical exchanges on the theme of "Opportunities and Challenges for Sustainable Development of China's Strawberry Industry" and publicized the 10^th International Strawberry Symposium at the "the Belt and Road" National Fruit Industry High quality Development Training Course jointly organized by the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences and the International Business Officer Training Institute of the Ministry of Commerce.

28 officials and technical personnel from multiple countries, including the National Academy of Agricultural Sciences of Cuba, the Dominican Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development of Nepal, the Ministry of Finance of Nepal, the Ministry of Agriculture and Plantation of Sri Lanka, and the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Laos, participated in this training. The attendees exchanged ideas on technical issues related to breeding, seedling cultivation, and disease and pest control in the development of strawberry industry in various countries. Devkota Sudip, a horticultural development official from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development of Nepal, and other attendees stated that the strawberry industry in Nepal, Sri Lanka, and other countries is in its early stages and is a representative of high economic fruit products. The future development market space is huge, and it is urgent to absorb the development experience of China's strawberry industry and participate in the 10^th International Strawberry Symposium, which will be held in Yancheng, China in 2025. The activities of this symposium will improve the technological level of the strawberry industry in the country.
